Symetra Classic UL offers flexible features and payment options, multiple ways to access the policy’s accumulated cash value with three new death benefit options.
The death benefit plus a return of the premiums paid option is designed to maximize the amount of money passed on to the beneficiaries or for businesses to cover key employees.
The charitable giving benefit option gives customers ability to continue their charitable giving even after death by paying an additional benefit of 1% of their policy’s face amount to a selected, qualified charity, at no additional cost.

Esurance, the onlinel car insurance company now owned by Allstate, has launched a new ad campaign around the concept, Insurance for the Modern World.
The campaign – which includes television, cinema, in-flight, online video and streaming radio among other media – will debut on CBS during the 1:00 p.m. NFL game on Dec. 24.
Actor John Krasinski, star of The Office, does voiceover for the visual narrative that seeks to capture the reality of modern world and the interconnectedness of people’s real and digital lives. The campaign also features the Grammy Award winning song, Jam Man, from Country Music Hall of Fame guitarist Chet Atkins.
The campaign is focused on consumers who buy their insurance online.

A Canada-based life insurer is exiting the variable annuities and individual life products markets in the U.S. not quite a week after ING announced it would be taking a huge charge as it too exited the U.S. variable annuities market.
Sun Life Financial Inc., Toronto, (NYSE: SLF), disclosed its decision on December 12 to halt sales of its domestic U.S. variable annuity and individual life products effective December 30.

A North West accountancy firm has warned small business owners that they should tighten their credit control management, as it has emerged that HMRC is increasingly resorting to asset seizures to tackle late paying businesses.
MD of Mitchell Charlesworth, David Darlington, said the number of occasions when HMRC has used its powers of distraint to seize the assets of late payers – overwhelming businesses – rose to more than 7000 in the last financial year, up from nearly 4,900 the previous year and 1,675 in the year before.
